Nepal EQ Relief (Zinc Roof)
Zinc Roof to Melamchi
Supply of Zinc Roof to Panchakanya Secondary School and Melamchi Community school - 29 June 2015
Some things can't wait.
As rain kept falling, rebuilding work in Nepal does not stop.
Our local team in Nepal received request for help in providing zinc roof to two schools in Sindhupalchowk District, a district badly damaged during the earthquake.
Without further delays, the team went all out to source and negotiate for 20 bundles (each bundle between 10-20 pieces) of zinc roof with the lowest price and then off they went to Panchakanya Secondary School (approx. 270-300 students) and Melamchi Community School (approx. 350-370 students but only 270 attending school at the moment because the students are still fearful of earthquake and not returning to school) to deliver the zinc roof!
The drive from Kathmandu to Melamchi is close to 2hrs with bad roads leading to the schools.
We will continue to support Panchakanya Secondary School in their rebuilding effort once monsoon is over.
Let the pictures do the talking. :)
