Operation Rejoice supports quake victims - 10 June 2015

Operation Rejoice, a relief organization based in Singapore, has distributed relief material worth Rs 5 million to earthquake victims of Nepal.

KATHMANDU, June 10: Operation Rejoice, a relief organization based in Singapore, has distributed relief material worth Rs 5 million to earthquake victims of Nepal.

The organization distributed immediate essentials like tents, tarpaulins, ground sheets, water purifier, mosquito nets, and medicines to quake-hit people in Dhading, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu from May 23 to 28.

Shu Teng Janice, one of the founders of Operation Rejoice, was in Nepal for distribution of relief material. Meanwhile, the organization has also expressed commitment to support in reconstruction process.

According to Janice, her organization will help to rebuild damaged schools and houses. "Though we are yet to identify areas of the new project, our priority will be to rebuild crumbled schools and houses in remote areas," said Janice.
