Operation Rejoice will provide tents to the families of Namkheli Village

Thanks to Operation Rejoice, we have secured tents, groundsheets and torches for some of our students from Manjushree Singa Primary School, which is in Namkheli Village in Solukhumbu region. These are families that had been badly affected by the earthquake. Unfortunately, we cannot cater to all the families as we also know elsewhere will also need these resources.

Namkheli Village is in a remote area on the mountains. From Kathmandu city, it takes about 8 – 12hrs bus ride followed by 2 days of hike to traverse across mountains before arriving (and yes it is by foot!). So you can imagine the time it will take before international aid reaches Namkheli. Not forgetting that there are other villages that are even more inaccessible.

Hence, we are very thankful that Operation Rejoice, led by Janice Lim and Zwen Chua, for reaching out to Namkheli village and the other Nepalese families that they helping!
